Why this works
The BIG Way is not a widely circulated and imitated powerlifting training method for one reason: it is based on each individual, rather than being a cookie-cutter program. Rick knows that every lifter has different needs based on his or her powerlifting experience, athletic background, biomechanics, and leverages, and this is why one generalized routine outline does not work for every lifter.

Whether you are a novice lifter or a record-holder, Rick will create a unique training program for you to increase your PR's in record time. It is an aggressive level of training, so be prepared for an intense and focused training cycle. If you aren’t serious about your training, this is not for you.
*Recommended
10 Week Program. It takes 5-8 weeks to really start seeing results with any program, while your body adapts to the training and you become familiar with form and technique. Especially if you are preparing for a meet, this is the minimum time needed to see the most gains from your training cycle.

Longer programs are available based on your needs and timeframe. Please email for individualized pricing based on the length of the program you need.

About Rick

Rick Hussey has been involved in powerlifting for over 25 years, first as a lifter, and for the last 15 years as a coach. Under his guidance, Big Iron lifters have broken over 150 records throughout the federations and classes that they have competed in. Rick calls the numbers for every lifter on the team, watching to see their sticking points and training each lifter to get stronger in their weak areas, as well as their overall strength. From the boards used when benching to the assistance exercises they do after deadlifting, Rick oversees it all. If you were to ask any of the lifters what they are planning on opening with as they train for a meet, their response will always be "I don't know, ask Rick." You can find Rick at Big Iron seven days a week, and even though his team keeps him busy, he always makes time to help anyone learn the techniques they need to get stronger.
